The next scheduled usage of the MSJC-Alert Notification System will be Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 10:20am, in support of the Great CA ShakeOut earthquake education and preparation event.

Emergency Events Log
Feb 7, 2011 5:15pm: Due to an emergency situation in the area, streets were closed around the Temecula Education Complex. The MSJC-Alert system was utilized to notify students that no classes would be held at the TEC on that day.
Dec 7, 2009 5:00pm. Due to excessive rain causing street flooding, alternative routes to the San Jacinto campus were suggested.
Oct 21, 2010 10:21am: The college participated in the Great CA ShakeOut, a statewaide earthquake safety drill. The MSJC-Alert system was activated to promote earthquake preparation and safety.
Sept 9, 2010 2:00pm. Routine semester test of MSJC-Alert.
Feb 7, 2010 2:00pm. Routine semester test of MSJC-Alert.
June 3, 2009 5:00pm. Due to an extended power outage on the San Jacinto campus, all classes were cancelled for the evening at the San Jacinto campus.
October 28, 2009, an emergency was declared at the San Jacinto campus at 12:30pm. The campus was put into a lockdown mode while a search was conducted for an armed man suspected of robbing a nearby bank. The Riverside County Sherrif's Department declared an all-clear at 1:00 pm and the college resumed normal operations. Two telephone messages went to ALL students, faculty and staff. The first message advised of the emergency, and the second gave the notice of all clear. While the emergency only affected the San Jacinto campus, all students receive all notifications by design.
