Baseball Drops Home Game to Citrus

The MSJC baseball team lost on Tuesday 11-5 to visiting Citrus College. 

 The Eagles got on the scoreboard first with a run in the second inning.  Leftfielder Aaron Lane drove in a run on a single to left field scoring Devin Greco, but Adam Baliger was thrown out at the plate trying to score from second ending the inning.  Citrus responded with three runs in the top of the third and MSJC could not recover.

Lane ended the day 4 for 4 with a run scored for MSJC while Greco added two hits.  Ricky Norton took the loss on the mound for MSJC.  The Eagles are now 2-4 on the season and return to action Thursday when they travel to Imperial Valley for a 2 pm game.  MSJC's next home game is Tuesday February 22nd when Imperial Valley comes to San Jacinto.  Game time on the 22nd is also 2 pm.
