Seven MSJC baseball players earned all conference honors released Monday by the Foothill Conference led by two First Team selections in pitcher Miguel Navarro and infielder Jeff Ricker.
Navarro finished the season second in the Foothill Conference in strikeouts with 81 for the year. Navarro also had a solid 3.89 earned run average and an overall record of 5-7. Jeff Ricker who played second and third base for the Eagles this year hit .336 with 19 RBIs on the season.
Catcher Adam Balliger and pitcher Ryan Kendall earned Second Team All Foothill Conference honors for their contributions this season. Balliger, considered the top defensive catcher in the conference, threw out 12 base stealers on the season while hitting .283 and driving in 15 runs. Kendall had a sparkling 2.85 earned run average for the year and struck out 59 batters in 66 innings.
Steven Chagolla, Blake English, and Ryan Clark each were named to the Honorable Mention All Conference list. Chagolla, a center fielder, led the Foothill Conference in stolen bases with 20. He also hit a team high .363 on the year and drove in 11 runs. English led the Eagles in RBIs for the year with 20 while hitting .279. Clark the third Eagle pitcher to make the list was 5-3 on the season and had a 3.68 era.
MSJC finished the season 16-20 overall and 12-12 in Foothill Conference action.
