Baseball Team Downs Citrus

The MSJC baseball team moved their record to 3-2 on the season with a 6-3 win over host Citrus in Wednesday.

Ryan Clark picked up the victory on the mound to move to 1-1 on the year. Clark pitched 8 innings allowing 8 hits and 3 runs while walking 1 and striking out 3. Scott Simmons came on in the ninth to earn his second save of the year.

Offensively for MSJC Garret Caldwell had 3 RBIs in the game going 2 for 5 at the plate. Randy Bruce went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and hit his first home run of the season in the top of the eighth. Chris Houston and Travis Hansen also both picked up two hits in the victory.

The Eagles are back in action today when they travel to Imperial Valley for a 2 pm game.
