The MSJC baseball team picked up a pair of victories Saturday at Pasadena City College, winning 8-2 and 5-2. The wins were the fifth and sixth in a row for the Eagles improving their record to 6-3 on the season.

In game one Robert Byers pitched 7 2/3 innings for the victory. Michael Pino was the offensive star collecting 4 hits and scoring 3 runs. Danny Aradas knocked in two runs for the Eagles. MSJC broke open a 3-2 game with two runs in the eighth and three in the ninth for the 8-2 win. Michael Craine came on to pitch the final 1 1/3 for MSJC.

In the second game MSJC once again received solid pitching as Tyler Breault went 6 innings for the victory and Dale De Schepper came in to pick up his second save shutting out the Lancers in the seventh. The Eagles never trailed in the game picking up two runs in the first inning and adding one in the third. In the bottom of the third Pasadena got on the scoreboard with two runs, but that would be all they could manage. MSJC added two insurance runs in the fifth for the final of 5-2. Aradas again had a big hit driving in 2 runs for the Eagles in his one plate appearance.

MSJC is back in action Tuesday when they host Palomar at 2 pm.
