Chaffey Defeats Eagles

In a game that was highly competitive for 8 innings the Chaffey Panthers were able to score 7 runs in the top of the ninth to defeat MSJC 11-1 on Tuesday.

Greg Anzures had three hits for the Eagles and drove in the lone MSJC run. Chaffey scored 3 runs in the top of the second inning while the Eagles run cam in the bottom of the fourth when they cut the lead to 3-1. MSJC couldn't push any more runs across despite 8 hits. The Eagles left 9 runners on base in the game.

The loss dropped the Eagles record to 11-8 overall and 1-5 in Foothill Conference action. MSJC will host Cerro Coso on Thursday at 2:30.
