Eagles Baseball Team Makes it Two in a Row
The MSJC baseball team won for the second day in a row as they picked up a 14-9 road win at Compton.
The Eagles received a big performance at the plate from John Eschleman who collected four RBI on the day going 3 for 5 with two triples. Anthony Smith and Ryan Lefevre added two runs batted in for the Eagles. Trailing 4-3 after three innings MSJC erupted for 5 runs in the top of the fourth and then tacked on six in the sixth to put the game out of reach.
B.J. Salsbury picked up the win on the mound for the Eagles going five innings allowing three earned runs. Larry Gibson and Josh Peters combined to throw four innings out of the bullpen to close out the pitching duties for MSJC. The win improved the Eagles record to 2-0 on the season. MSJC is back in action Saturday when travel to L.A. City for a 12 pm game.
