SBVC Halts Baseball Streak at Nine
San Bernardino Valley ended the MSJC baseball team's nine game winning streak on Thursday with an 11-8 win over the Eagles.
MSJC came back from an early 3-1 deficit with a four run bottom of the fourth inning, but couldn't hold on in the late going. Lead off hitter Joe Riley had 4 hits in the game and scored two runs while clean up man Chris Houston was 3 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBIs. Brant Alonzo also drove in two runs for the Eagles.
Josh Peters lost a tough decision on the mound going 6 and 1/3 allowing 11 hits and 8 runs, six of them were earned. The loss drops Peters to 7-3 on the year. MSJC will again face San Bernardino on Saturday when they travel to SBVC for a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled for 12 pm.
