Football Game Against Southwestern to be Held at Olympian High School
The MSJC football team's game Saturday night against Southwestern will be held at Olympian High School in Chula Vista.
Southwestern's stadium is under going construction so they have been forced to play their home games this season at local high schools. Olympian High is located at 1925 Magdalena Avenue in Chula Vista. The Eagles and the Jaguars both enter Saturday night's game at 4-0 in the Mountain Conference with the Eagles sporting a 7-0 overall record and Southwestern a 6-1 mark.
MSJC enters Saturday night's game with the top running back in the conference in Superiorr Reid who surpassed the 1,000 yard mark on the season last week at Chaffey. Southwestern counters with the #2 passer in the league in quarterback Brett Nelson who has thrown for 1,689 yards and 15 touchdowns. Both team's defenses have also been strong with Southwestern possessing the #2 total defense in the conference and the Eagles the #3 ranked defensive unit.
Saturday night's game in Chula Vista is set to kick off at 6 pm. The Eagles will finish the regular season with two home games on November 3rd and 10th at Carl Quandt Stadium. The game against San Bernardino Valley on November 3rd is the 2012 Homecoming game. Both remaining home games begin at 1 pm.
Linebackers Dejon Brown and Jason Dixon go for a tackle earlier in the season. The Eagle football team who is 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in conference play travel to Chula Vista Saturday to take on 6-1 (4-0) Southwestern at 6 pm at Olympian High School.
