Football Team Loses 4 OT Thriller

The MSJC football team concluded their season on Saturday with a heartbreaking four overtime loss at Victor Valley 42-36.

The Eagles who had a chance to win it at the end of regulation finished the season at 1-9 overall and 1-6 in Mountain Conference action the win pushed VVC to 6-4 and 5-2. With :03 left in the fourth quarter Zoltan Riazzo's 34 yard field goal attempt sailed just wide sending the game into overtime.

The Eagles and Rams traded touchdowns in the first overtime sending the contest to it's second. In the second extra session both teams had to settle for field goals again continuing the contest. After neither team scored in the third OT Victor Valley finally scored the winning TD in the fourth.

Carmen Boyer threw for 302 yards on the day completing 21 of 41 passes for two touchdowns he was intercepted three times. Jeremy Rykard and Dado Michel both caught TD passes while Courtney Pete pulled in 8 receptions for 84 yards. Franex Dort led the Eagle rushing attack with 74 yards and 2 TD's on 19 carries.
