Former Eagle Great Visits Campus
Former Mt. San Jacinto College All American running back Mike Anderson visited campus today to spend time with some of his former coaches and to meet current MSJC head coach Casey Mazzotta.
Mike spent seven seasons in the National Football League after playing at the University of Utah. While at Mt. San Jacinto in 1996 and 1997 Mike was named the Foothill Conference MVP, a First Team All State selection, as well as being named to the All American team. The Winsboro, South Carolina native moved on to the University of Utah on a full scholarship after playing for the Eagles. At Utah, Mike earned All Western Athletic Conference honors as well as being named the MVP of the Las Vegas Bowl in 1999.
A sixth round draft choice of the Denver Broncos, Mike went on to win the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2000. Mike also set an NFL record for rookies running for 251 yards in a game against the New Orleans Saints.
