Chaffey started fast scoring their first touchdown of the game just one minute and 22 seconds into the first quarter when Quincy Ross scored on a 57 yard run.  Chaffey would push the lead all the way to 28-0 before the MSJC offense was able to put any points on the board.  Michael Harrison scored his first of two touchdowns on the day to put the Eagles on the board with 6:06 to play before half when he scored on an 8 yard run.  MSJC's extra point failed and the Panthers would add one more TD to make the score 35-6 Chaffey at the half.

The Eagles had a glimmer of hope early in the third quarter as Harrison broke a 69 yard run 51 seconds into the second half to cut the lead to 35-13.  Chaffey however, converted a third down and 33 on their next drive and turned that into a field goal to move the lead to 38-13.  Two more field goals by the Panthers would make the lead 44-13 with 9:49 left in the game.  The Eagles offense would put together two more scoring drives late in the game as quarterback Chad Virgil connected with Delontra Fields on a 7 yard touchdown pass and Tyler Henderson on a 24 yard pass.  In between Chaffey kicked their fourth field goal of the second half for the final of 47-28.

Virgil finished the day 24 of 34 passing for 235 yards, he threw two touchdowns and was intercepted twice.  Harrison had a big day numbers wise rushing for 141 yards on 18 carries and catching a team high 7 passes for 85 yards.  Henderson finished with 4 receptions for 58 yards and Fields caught three passes for 25 yards.  On defense Sam Schwab and Jack Brown each had a team high 8 tackles in the loss.

MSJC fell to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in Mountain Conference play with the loss while Chaffey improved to 6-1 and 4-0.  The Eagles will play their final home game of the season this Saturday November 2nd when they host Southwestern at 1 pm at Carl Quandt Stadium.
