Bush Leads Eagle Men to Another Victory

Curtis Bush had 19 points and 11 rebounds as the MSJC men's basketball team kept pace with San Bernardino Valley a top the Foothill Conference with an 82-61 win at RCurtis Bushio Hondo Wednesday night.

The Eagles who improved their record to 8-1 in conference action and 19-8 overall have now won 12 of their last 14 games. Melvin Goins and Will Ceasar both added 14 points in the victory while Shenon Johannes had 11. Goins also dished out 6 assists while backcourt mate Mark Williams picked up 7 assists.

The Eagles jumped out on the Roadrunners shooting 54% in the first half on their way to building a 46-29 halftime lead. In the second half the Eagles ballooned the lead to 32 on two occasions and cruised home with the victory.

The Eagles, who are currently ranked #13 in the state, will host 14th ranked Chaffey College on Saturday afternoon. Chaffey is 6-3 in conference play two games behind MSJC and SBVC.
