Eagle Men Struggle Shooting in Loss to SBVC

The MSJC men's basketball team shot just 35% from the field Wednesday night as they fell in their Foothill Conference opener to two time defending conference champion San Bernardino  94-70.

The Eagles went just 3 of 16 from the three point line and didn't make a three pointer for the first 30 minutes of the game.  The off shooting night coupled with San Bernardino shooting over 60% in the first half made it a long night for the Eagles.

Jammall Clark led the Eagle offense with 17 points while Dakota Downs also reached double figures with 12.  Eric Lawton, Jaree Crawford, and Kris Brooks all scored 8 for the Eagles who came into the game ranked 8th in the state.

The Eagles had won 8 of their last 9 games entering Wednesday's contest. Mt. San Jacinto is now 11-4 on the year and 0-1 in Foothill Conference action.  MSJC will be back on the floor Saturday when they host College of the Desert at 3 pm.  You can hear all of the exciting action on AM 1620 or across the internet at msjc.edu on the Eagle Radio Network.
