Eagles Beat AVC; Open Play-offs at Riverside

John Pressley had a career high 25 points for MSJC while Jammall Clark added 14 and Eric Lawton 12 in the win.  In a game that was close throughout AVC took a 45-44 halftime lead, but MSJC would grab the lead early in the second half and hold on the rest of the way.  The Eagles finished the afternoon shooting 53% from the field while the Marauders shot 47% in a very well played game. 

The win secured a fourth straight 20 win season for the Eagles and improved their overall record to 20-8.  MSJC finished the Foothill Conference schedule at 9-5, Antelope Valley fell to 19-9 and 8-6.

The Eagles will now move onto the Southern California Regional Tournament and will open with Riverside Community College on Friday.  The Eagles are seed 11th in Southern California and the Tigers 6th. Friday's game will be played at Cal Baptist University and is set to tip-off at 7:30 pm.
