The MSJC men's basketball team struggled to score on Wednesday night as they shot just 19 or 49 from the floor and 13 of 25 from the foul line dropping a Foothill Conference road game at Antelope Valley 63-53.
The Eagles did get a big game out of freshman forward Dakota Downs who had 22 points and 14 rebounds. D'Andre Williams added 9 points and 7 assists while Dominic Tiger-Cortes also had 9 points. Tykie Harris pulled in 8 rebounds for MSJC in the losing effort.
The loss dropped the Eagles to 14-6 on the season and 3-2 in Foothill Conference play Antelope Valley improved to 12-8 and 3-2. MSJC is back in action on Friday when they travel to Barstow to take on the Vikings. The Eagles will return home next Wednesday January 27th when they host Chaffey.
