Eagles Fall in Battle With No. 1 SBVC

The MSJC men's basketball team battled back to tie the game in the second half, but it wasn't quite enough as they fell to the state's #1 ranked team San Bernardino Valley on Wednesday 75-68.

The Eagles, who trailed by 11 at halftime, came all the way back to tie the game on three separate occasions late in the game, but could never pull ahead of the Wolverines (23-2, 9-0). A very physical second half led to the two teams combining for 51 free throw attempts in the game.

Jammall Clark led a balanced Eagle scoring attack with 14 points while Dakota Downs added 10. D'Andre Williams and Jeffrey West both scored 9 points in the loss. MSJC now stands at 17-7 overall on the season and 6-3 in Foothill Conference play.

The Eagles are back in action Friday when they host College of the Desert at 7 pm. All the action can be heard on the Eagle Radio Network at AM 1620 or across the internet at msjc.edu.
