The Mt. San Jacinto Eagles bounced back from a loss Saturday at Victor Valley with a convincing 90-73 win over visiting Barstow College.
MSJC got off to a bit of a slow start and went into the locker room with just a one point lead at 40-39. The second half, however was a different story as the Eagles pressure defense got to the Vikings causing 13 second half turnovers. With the tempo in the Eagles favor they were able to out score Barstow 50-34 in the second stanza and cruise home to the victory.
Dejuan Flowers led four Eagles in double figures with 20 points. Mark Williams added 13, while Tim Island had 12, and Lee Stephens chipped in with 10. MSJC also had a large rebounding margin as they pulled in 41 compared to just 27 for the Vikings.
The win pushes MSJC's record to 23-4 on the season and 7-2 in Foothill Conference action. The Eagles currently trail Antelope Valley by 2 games in the conference race.
