The MSJC men's basketball team made a strong late charge on Saturday night, but came up short in a 78-72 loss at Antelope Valley.
The Eagles who's record fell to 19-4 overall and 3-2 in Foothill Conference play were led by Dejuan Flowers who had 15 points and 9 rebounds. Marc Wilson came off the bench to add 14 points and 5 rebounds for MSJC who suffered their second straight defeat. Mark Williams also reached double figures with 13 points. Despite out rebounding AVC 40-25 the Eagles couldn't match the hot shooting of the Marauders who went 29-52 for the game including 5-14 from the three point line. Antelope Valley improved to 18-7 overall and 4-1 in conference action.
