Fifth Eagle Hooper Signs for 2007-08
Ike Muoneke a 2007 MSJC sophomore basketball player became the fourth member of the 06-07 squad and fifth former Eagle this year to sign a scholarship for the up-coming school year.
Muoneke a 6'4" Houston native signed with Dakota Wesleyan University on Wednesday August 8th. "Everybody says it is a basketball town," said Muoneke, "they qualified for the national tournament last year and the coach said he would work with me for a career in basketball after graduation." Head Wesleyan coach John Hemingway is excited to have Ike. "We are hoping that Ike's athleticism will really stand out in our league," said Hemingway "It's a highly competitive league and we lost four front line players last season and hope Ike will be ready to contribute right away."
Ike feels ready to move on to the next level and said he learned some valuable lessons at MSJC. "I learned a lot of lessons here at Mt. San Jacinto, especially academically," he said " I feel prepared to move on."
