Four Eagle Men Honored by Conference

The Foothill Conference announced their 2010 all conference team this week and four MSJC players were honored.

Sophomore point guard D'Andre Williams and freshman forward Dakota Downs were named First Team All Conference while Jeffrey West and Darnell Ferguson were both tabbed Honorable Mention picks.

Williams, a graduate of Palo Duro High School in El Paso, Texas, led the Eagles in assists and steals on the season. He finished conference play averaging 10.4 points and 5.4 assists per night. Downs from Hemet West Valley High School was the team's leading rebounder during Foothill action pulling in an impressive 8.6 per game. Downs also led the Eagles in scoring over the 14 game conference schedule at 13.6 points per game.

West, a sophomore from Perris High School, scored 11.9 points and grabbed 6.2 rebounds per night for the Eagles who finished in a second place tie with Chaffey in the conference standings. West was a first team all league selection last season. Ferguson is also a sophomore and is a graduate of Redlands East Valley High School. He finished conference play averaging 6.6 points and 8 rebounds a game.

The Eagles start the post season Friday when they take on Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo. Game time is 7 pm and you can hear all the action on the Eagle Radio Network at AM 1620 or across the internet at msjc.edu
