Late Surge Leads AVC Past MSJC in Men's Hoops

The MSJC men's basketball team played well on the road Saturday, but came up on the short end of a tightly contested game with Antelope Valley 90-79.
The Eagles and Marauders both shot the ball very well in the first half as the teams exchanged the lead four times on the way to a halftime score of 47-45 AVC. Dwayne Benjamin led three Eagle players in double figures on the day with a game high 29 points. Benjamin also pulled in a team high 8 rebounds. Sam Natt scored 14 points for the Eagles and Montreal Harris added 13 points and 7 steals in the losing effort. Antelope Valley finished the day shooting just under 52% from the field.
The Eagles conclude the regular season with a record of 19-10 and a Foothill Conference mark of 7-7. MSJC will find out their play-off seeding and pairing on Monday.
