MSJC Men Beat Southwestern, Earn 20th Win
The MSJC men's basketball team continued their winning ways on Friday night as they defeated Southwestern 58-43 in Chula Vista to notch their 20th win of the season.
The win gives the Eagles their seventh straight 20 win season and pushed their current winning streak to 14 games. Dajuan Smith led the way on offense for MSJC scoring a team high 16 points and grabbing a team high 11 rebounds. Levon Harper added 10 points and 8 boards while Sam Williams also reached double figures in scoring with 10 as he pulled in 6 rebounds on the night.
The win over Southwestern completed the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference crossover portion of the Eagles schedule
and now with two weeks left in the season MSJC gets back to action in the PCAC North Division. MSJC currently is 20-3 overall and 4-0 in North Division play.
The Eagles will play their final two regular season home games this week on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday MSJC will host Palomar College and Friday the Eagles will take on Mira Costa. Both games this week tip off at 7 pm.
