MSJC Men Clinch Conference Crown With Win

The MSJC men's basketball team clinched a share of the Foothill Conference championship on Wednesday night as they defeated visiting Rio Hondo College 83-61.
The Eagles built a 20 point lead at halftime and cruised home for their 12th victory in 13 conference games. MSJC can take the title out right with a win Saturday against Antelope Valley. On Wednesday night it was Josh Gouch who led the Eagle offense with 18 points, he also pulled down 10 rebounds. Montreal Harris also had a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Anthony Dees scored in double figures with 15 points on 5 three point baskets in the victory.
The Eagles who are currently ranked #2 in Southern California and #5 in the state improved their overall record to 23-4 to go along with their 12-1 conference mark. Rio Hondo dropped to 5-20 and 3-10. The Eagles final regular season game will be at home Saturday against Antelope Valley. Tip off on Saturday is set for 3 pm.
