MSJC Men Get Big Win at Home
The MSJC men's basketball team won their fourth straight game on Wednesday as they beat visiting Barstow College 74-54 in a Foothill Conference game.
The Eagles used a strong defensive effort in the first half holding Barstow to just 10 field goals on their way to a halftime lead of 40-28. in the second half it was much of the same as the Eagles built the lead to as much as 24 points on their way to victory.
Montreal Harris and Mylin Jordan both had 14 points in the game for MSJC. Harris had a double double as he also pulled in a game high 11 rebounds. Sam Natt also hit double figures in scoring for the Eagles with 11 points. MSJC had a clear advantage on the glass all night as they out rebounded the Vikings 46-31.
The win improved MSJC's overall record to 18-8 and their Foothill Conference mark to 6-5. The win also propelled the Eagles into fourth place alone in the Foothill Conference which was an important step for the Eagles play-off run. MSJC is virtually assured a play-off spot with one more victory. The Eagles play their final regular season home game on Saturday when they take on San Bernardino Valley. Saturday's tip off is set for 3 pm.
