MSJC Men Suffer First Conference Loss
College of the Desert handed MSJC their first conference loss of the season on Wednesday 79-65 in Palm Desert. The Eagles playing without leading scorer Tim Island, due to a broken hand, dropped to 19-3 overall and 3-1 in Foothill Conference play.
On the evening, Dejuan Flowers led the Eagles with 16 points and 16 rebounds, while Mark Williams was the high scorer with 17 points. Lee Stephens and Derrick Langley added 8 points a piece for MSJC who had not lost since the championship game of the Ventura Tournament before Christmas. The top ranked Eagles fell one game behind Desert who improved to 4-0 in conference and 15-5 overall.
The Eagles return to action Saturday when they travel to Lancaster to take on Antelope Valley College. MSJC returns home next Wednesday, January 23rd when they host Chaffey at 7 pm.
