MSJC Men Win Final Tune Up Before Conference
The MSJC men's basketball team improved their record to 11-3 with a victory Thursday night over visiting American Sports University 112-78.
The Eagles jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as six players reached double figures on the night. Dakota Downs led the Eagle offense with 19 points while Taylor Bell had 18 and Jammall Clark added 17. Eric Lawton (15), Kris Brooks (14), and Darren May (12) also hit double digits in the victory.
The Eagles, who are currently ranked #9 in the state and #5 in So. Cal have won 8 of their last 9 games heading into Foothill Conference play. The Eagles kick off conference action with a trip to San Bernardino Valley on Wednesday when they clash with the defending champion Wolverines at 7:30 pm. MSJC's first conference home game of the season follows on Saturday when they host College of the Desert. The Desert game will tip-off at 3 pm following the women's game at 1 pm.
