MSJC Wins Big Over Rio Hondo

The MSJC men's team jumped out to an early lead against Rio Hondo and never looked back as they defeated the Roadrunners 91-73.
The Eagles built the lead to as much as 18 in the first half before Rio was able to clo
se the halftime margin to 8 at 45-37. In the second half MSJC once again opened it up behind timely shooting and dominance on the boards. The Eagles finished the game out rebounding the Roadrunners 52-36.
Melvin Goins led the MSJC offensive attack with 21 points and 7 assists. Mark Williams added 14 points off the bench while Jeffrey West recorded a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Will Ceasar scored 12 points for MSJC and Terrance Williams added 9 points and 9 rebounds.
The victory improved the Eagles season record to 13-7 and 2-0 in Foothill Conference play. MSJC is now set for a showdown Saturday at Chaffey. The Panthers enter Saturday's contest 18-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Tip-off is set for 3 pm in Rancho Cucamonga.
