Eagle Tennis Loses Heartbreaker to COD

#3 ranked MSJC hosted #2 College of the Desert tuesday afternoon in a Foothill conference match. The eagles lost a heart breaker to the 14 time state champions in a very close 4-5 match. After having completed a majority of their non-conference schedule having only lost one dual match to defending state champion Ventura College, the eagles were ready for the rematch against COD. The eagles battled hard in singles play earning a 3-3 split with cod going into the doubles rotation. After losing the #3 doubles slot the #2 undefeated team of James Bragg and Murilo Valadares evened the match with a very hard fought 3 set win. Unfortunately, the day belonged to the roadrunners as they pulled out the win in the 3rd set deciding tie-breaker 10-3. The eagles continue conference play on thursday at home against Victor Valley College at 2pm.
