MSJC Tennis Shuts Out Palomar

The MSJC men's tennis team beat Palomar in San Marcos on Thursday 9-0 to stay one game behind San Diego Mesa for second place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.

Vitor Galvao set the tone for the Eagles when he won his singles match at #1, 6-1, 6-0.  Bruno Campos won 6-2 and 6-2 while Leo Matarazzo, Thibaud Garces, Gabe da Costa, and Thiago Trigo also won singles matches in straight sets. 

The Eagles continued to dominate in doubles as they won all three matches with Campos and Garces winning 8-5, while Matarazzo and Da Costa teamed for an 8-5 win and Hung Dang paired with Trigo to also win 8-5.

The Eagles are now 8-4 overall on the season and 6-2 in PCAC play.  MSJC returns to play today when they travel to San Diego City College, the Eagles will host Victor Valley on Thursday.  Both matches this week are at 2 pm.
