Third Ranked Eagles Tennis Wins Battle of Top 10 Teams

The MSJC men's tennis team stayed on a roll with a 7-2 non conference victory over #7 ranked El Camino. The Eagles who are ranked #3 in the latest Southern California Regional poll improved to 12-2 overall they are still unbeaten in conference at 9-0.

On Wednesday the Eagles picked up four singles victories and swept the doubles competition on the way to victory. In singles play the #1 match between individually ranked players Taylor Witt of MSJC and Tsuyoshi Nagaoko was a classic ending in a win for Nagaoko 13-11 in a tie breaker. Mitchell Grajeda, Corey Sheehan, and Victor Villarreal all got singles victories in straight sets for the Eagles. Carlos Marquez picked up the other MSJC singles victory with a tie break win in the #3 match. Sheehan and Villarreal are unbeaten in match play this season.

The Eagles are back in action today when they travel to #10 Glendale for another toMitchell and Carlosugh non conference match.

Mitchell Grajeda and Carlos Marquez continue to roll at #2 doubles for the third ranked Eagles.
