Fall Sports Seasons Set to Begin

With the new semester starting four of MSJC's intercollegiate athletic teams are getting set to begin their seasons.  Women's volleyball, golf, and soccer along with football are preparing to open their seasons in the next couple of weeks.

The women's volleyball team will be the first in action as they travel to El Cajon this Saturday to take part in the Grossmont College scrimmage tournament.  The Lady Eagles first official game will be Wednesday August 31st when they take on Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria.

The women's soccer season begins on August 30th when they travel to Mira Costa College for a 4 pm kick off.  The Lady Eagles will not host a soccer game until September 16th when they take on Pasadena City College.

The women's golf team swings into action Sunday and Monday August 28-29th when they travel to Ventura to play in the South Coast Classic.  The women's golf team is the defending Foothill Conference Champion.

The Eagle football team opens it's season on Saturday September 3rd when they play College of the Desert in the Annual "Palms to Pines" trophy game.  That game will be in Palm Desert starting at 6 pm.  On September 10th and 17th the Eagles will play two home games at Vista Murrieta High School.
