Dakota Downs, a star on last year's MSJC men's basketball team that reached the Final Eight in the state play-offs, helped his new team Concordia (Irvine) to the NAIA Division I National Championship on Tuesday night.

Downs a 6'6 forward from West Valley High School in Hemet also earned the Charles Stevenson Hustle Award for his efforts in the 32 team National Tournament held in Kansas City, Missouri.
