East LA Tops MSJC in Softball

The MSJC softball team dropped their home opener on Thursday losing to visiting East Los Angeles 9-0 at Wheat Field in Menifee.
The Lady Eagles collected 5 hits on the afternoon led by a 2 for 3 performance by Tiffanye Camden. Camden and Brittany Valdez both had doubles for MSJC in the loss. ELAC had 9 hits on the day and picked up at least one run in each inning except the third and fifth. Aleena Bahling went the distance pitching for MSJC allowing 9 runs, 4 earned while walking none.
The loss drops MSJC to 0-2-1 on the season. MSJC is right back in action today as they travel to Santiago Canyon to play a doubleheader with Santiago and Southwestern.
