Lady Eagles Fall at COD; Finish Season Wednesday

The MSJC softball team could only manage 2 hits Friday as they lost in Palm Desert 8-brittanyvaldez.jpg0 to College of the Desert.

After two scoreless innings the Roadrunners were able to take the lead in the bottom of the third when they rallied for 2 runs.  They added 3 runs in each the bottom of the fourth and fifth inning to end the game by the mercy rule after five.

Brittany Valdez had a double and Heather Hermida added a single for the Lady Eagles two hits.  Aleena Bahling took the loss in the circle going 4 innings and allowing 3 earned runs on 4 hits.  Sami McNeely threw the fifth inning for MSJC.  Liana Padilla picked up her 15th win of the season for Desert.

The Lady Eagles who now stand at 7-18-1 overall and 5-8 in Foothill Conference action will wrap up their season on Wednesday when they travel to Rancho Cucamonga to take on Chaffey College.

 

Brittany Valdez had one of MSJC's two hits on Friday as teh Lady Eagles fell to the host College of the Desert Roadrunners 8-0.  MSJC wraps up their regular season on Wednesday when they play at Chaffey.
