The MSJC softball team picked up two home wins last week to start the Foothill Conference season 2-0.  Wednesday the Lady Eagles beat Rio Hondo 7-4 and Friday MSJC defeated Barstow 8-0.

Wednesday Mariah Borjon, Renee Rayls, and Asia Thomas each had multiple hits as the Lady Eagles scored 5 runs in the second inning on their way to the victory.  Aleena Bahling picked up the win pitching for MSJC.  Friday MSJC broke open a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the fourth when they scored 8 runs and their way to a 5 inning victory.  Bahling threw a one hitter while striking out 8 Barstow hitters.

The Eagles improved to 7-14 overall and are 2-0 in Foothill Conference play.  The Lady Eagles host Antelope Valley on Wednesday at 3 pm.
