Mesa Defeats Lady Eagles Twice in Softball

The MSJC softball team hit right along with San Diego Mesa on Friday, but couldn't put together as many runs as they fell in a doubleheader at Menifee.

In game one MSJC and Mesa were tied through three innings before the Olympians were able to score 3 in the fourth, 2 in the sixth, and 5 in the seventh for the 11-1 win.  Aleena Bahling went the distance for MSJC in the circle giving up 6 earned runs on 8 hits and she struck out 1.

In the second game of the day Mesa jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings, but the Lady Eagles did not allow another run until the sixth when the Olympians added 5 more.  Tiffanye Camden took the loss pitching for MSJC she went six innings giving up 8 hits and 6 earned runs while striking out two.

San Diego Mesa improved to 6-2 on the season while MSJC fell to 0-6-1.  The Lady Eagles are back in action on Wednesday February 16th when they host Palomar in a 3 pm game.  That game will be at Wheat Field in Menifee.
