Softball Team Beats Desert, Drops Two in Non Conference

The MSJC softball team beat College of the Desert on Friday to improve to 4-1 in Foothill Conference play, but dropped two non conference games on Saturday at Palomar to fall to 9-15-1 overall.

On Friday Lynsie Caldwell kept the Lady Eagles just a game out of first place by pitching and hitting MSJC past Desert. Catlin Heath added a homerun while Allie Brandt had a double and triple in the 6-3 victory. MSJC pounded out 13 hits including two each from Amber Dominguez, Bethany Jordan, and Jessica Weatherspoon.

On Saturday the Lady Eagles lost a pair of games at Palomar. MSJC returns to conference play on Wednesday March 19th when they travel to Chaffey for a 3 pm game.
