Lady Eagles Drop Conference Opener in Volleyball
The MSJC volleyball team rallied to win the first set Friday night against visiting San Bernardino Valley College, but the Wolverines answered by winning the next three to defeat the Lady Eagles in the opening Foothill Conference match of the season for both teams.
MSJC came back from being down 20-17 in the first set to score the final 8 points for a 25-20 victory. SBVC however came back to take the next three sets by scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-18. Priscilla Frias led the Lady Eagles with 13 kills in the match.
The loss drops MSJC to 5-4 on the season and 0-1 in Foothill Conference action. The Lady Eagles are on the road Wednesday when they travel to Victorville to take on Victory Valley College. MSJC returns home on Friday October 7th when they host Antelope Valley College. Friday's match begins at 5:30 pm.
