Lady Eagles Play Four at Cuyamaca Tourney

The MSJC women's volleyball team played four "shortened" matches over the weekend at the Cuyamaca Tournament.

The Lady Eagles started the day with a 2-0 loss to Yavapai College out of Arizona.  After two more close losses to Cuyamaca and San Diego City, MSJC rallied to defeat Cerritos College in an exciting 3 set match.

On the day Sovieti Hifo led the Lady Eagles defense with 36 digs, while Sarah Teegarden-Kaye and Natalie Frias led the offense with 55 assists and 25 kills respectively.

MSJC is back in action today when they travel to Imperial Valley College for a 5 pm match.  The Lady Eagles will then travel to Santa Maria on Saturday to take part in the Allan Hancock College Tournament.
