The MSJC volleyball team started fast and then had to hang on Friday night to beat visiting Rio Hondo College in 5 sets.

The Lady Eagles won the first two sets in convincing fashion by scores of 25-16 and 25-15, before the Roadrunners made a comeback.  Rio Hondo took the third set 27-25 and then dominated the fourth winning by a score of 25-17 to set up a fifth and deciding set.  MSJC battled back in the final set to win 15-11 and take the match 3-2.

Leslie Jenkins led the way for MSJC with 24 kills and 15 digs while Sarah Phelps had a match high 42 digs.  The Lady Eagles have two matches left in their season this Wednesday and Friday.  Both matches are at home and start at 5:30 pm.
