Volleyball Team Can't Hold on Against AVC

The MSJC volleyball team jumped on visiting Antelope Valley College Friday night winning the match's first game 25-17, but were unable to hold the momentum as AVC rallied to win the next three.

After the Lady Eagles win in game one the next two games were very close with theaction vs AVC Marauders winning 25-21 and 26-24. Game four was all Antelope Valley as they closed out the match with a convincing 25-13 win. Autum Jenkins had 10 blocks on the night for MSJC while Tawnee Roth added 11 kills and 16 digs and Sarah Teegarden had 25 assists.

The match was the conference opener for both teams. The Lady Eagles are now 11-12 overall and 0-1 in Foothill Conference action. MSJC is on the road twice this week when they travel to San Bernardino Valley on Wednesday and Chaffey on Friday. Both matches are set to begin at 5 pm.
