Volleyball Team Knocks off Conference Leader

 

The MSJC women's volleyball team beat Chaffey College Wednesday night in three straight games to give the Panthers their first loss of the season in Foothill Conference play.

The victory improved the Lady Eagles record to 6-3 in conference and 17-14 overall. MSJC is currently in a three game tie with Victor Valley and Antelope Valley for second place in conference play. A solid team effort saw five Lady Eagles reach double digits in digs led by 25 from Tawnee Roth. Sarah Teegarden had 18 digs and also collected 21 assists. Audrey Fooks and Kellie Diekiewiet led the way on offense picking up 12 kills a piece.

The Lady Eagles are back in action Friday when they travel to Rio Hondo for a 5 pm match. MSJC's final regular season home game is set for Wednesday November 19th when they host Victor Valley College that match is also scheduled for 5 pm.

Kellie Diekiewiet collected 12 kills and 10 digs Wednesday as the Lady Eagles volleyball team swept first place Chaffey in 3 straight games.
