Lady Eagles Basketball Team Wins Big Over IVC
The MSJC women's basketball team saw five players reach double figures and eleven different players score as they won a non-conference home game on Wednesday night 105-22 over Imperial
The Lady Eagles built a lead of 30-8 after the first quarter and 63-15 by halftime on their way to the victory. Delacy Brown got things going quickly for MSJC as she scored 25 of her game high 32 points in the first half on stellar 11 of 14 shooting from the floor. Brown also dished out a game high 8 assists in the victory. Carla Johnson took advantage of her first start of the season by scoring 15 points, passing out 6 assists, and grabbing five steals. Kristian Dewitt had 13 points for the Lady Eagles while Kaila Gower came off the bench to score 12 points and bring in 8 rebounds. Randi Johnson recorded a double double with 10 points and a game high 13 rebounds.
The win improved the Lady Eagles to 15-2 on the season while the Arabs remained winless. MSJC is right back in action on Friday when they travel to San Diego to take on SD Mesa in a 5 pm contest. MSJC will return home next Wednesday January 11th when they play host to Grossmont. Tip time on the 11th is also set for 5 pm.
