Lady Eagles Hand Barstow 71-49 Defeat

The MSJC women's basketball team jumped out to a big halftime lead and cruised home with a 71-49 Foothill Conference win on Wednesday over visiting Barstow College.
The Lady Eagles used some solid defense and a strong transition game in the first half to build a 43-21 halftime advantage. In the second half MSJC was able to push the lead to as much as 56-28 with just under 9 minutes to play. Tina Fantroy led the Lady Eagles offense with a game high 17 points to go along with her 8 rebounds. Kerah Natividad added 14 points and 8 rebounds while Cora Lopez came off the bench to score 11 points in the victory.
The win improved MSJC to 23-2 overall on the season and 10-1 in Foothill Conference action. The Lady Eagles who are currently ranked #6 in the state will have a showdown with San Bernardino Valley on Saturday in their final regular season home game starting at 1 pm. San Bernardino comes into Saturday's game with a 10-1 Foothill Conference record and a #5 state ranking.
