Lady Eagles Make it 2-0 in Conference

The MSJC women's basketball team got five players in double figures as they cruised to a 97-32 win Monday night against visiting Cerro Coso College.

Danielle Smith led the way with 25 points and 10 assists in the game while Tiffany Smith added 20 points. Nicole Villalobos had 14 points and Autum Jenkins came off the bench to score 13. Kyna Lewis had a game high 15 rebounds to go along with 11 points. After a slow start the Lady Eagles played strong in the second 10 minutes of the first half to go into the break with a 41-18 lead. MSJC outscored the Coyotes 56-14 in the second half.

The victory improved the Lady Eagles to 13-3 on the season and 2-0 in Foothill Conference action. MSJC, who is currently ranked #6 in the state, is back in action on Friday January 8th when they host #7 ranked San Bernardino Valley at 5 pm.
