Lady Eagles Win at Rio Hondo

The MSJC women's basketball team had a poor afternoon shooting the ball, but were able to pick up a victory on the road Saturday at Rio Hondo 67-52.

The Lady Eagles shot just 32% for the game going 26 for 82 from the field, but they collected 64 rebounds in the game.  Four MSJC players reached double figures on the afternoon led by Danielle Cooper's 16 points.  Cooper also collected a game high 21 rebounds.  Ashley Jenkins also recorded a double double with 14 points and 13 boards.  Terri Todecheene added 13 points and Kaylee Moreno finished the day with 11.

The win improved the Lady Eagles overall record to 14-6 and they stand at 4-1 in Foothill Conference action.  MSJC will be home twice this week as they host state ranked Chaffey College on Wednesday and Cerro Coso on Saturday.  Wednesday's game is set to begin at 5:30 pm, while Saturday's game is slated for 1 pm.  Both games can be heard across the internet at msjc.edu or locally on AM 1620 on the Eagle Radio Network.
