MSJC Gets Win to Stay Tied a Top Conferrence

Caysha JacksonThe MSJC women's basketball team picked up a 78-66 victory Saturday at Rio Hondo to stay tied a top the Foothill Conference with San Bernardino Valley.

The win pushed the Lady Eagles to 15-8 overall and 7-1 in conference play. Michelle Simmons led the way Saturday with 25 points, 16 rebounds, and 9 assists. The bench was strong for the second straight game for MSJC as Caysha Jackson (pictured) and Kelly Johnson came on to add 15 and 14 points. Thalia Benjamin helped the Lady Eagles control the boards as she recorded 13 rebounds, including 10 offensive.

MSJC is on the road twice this week as they travel to Ridgecrest on Wednesday to take on Cerro Coso and Victorville on Saturday to play Victor Valley. Wednesday's game tips off at 6 pm while Saturday's tilt is set for 5 pm.
