MSJC Women's Win Streak Stopped by Fullerton

The MSJC women's basketball team saw their seven game winning streak come to an end on Thursday as they lost to #1 ranked Fullerton 79-69 in the first round of the Antelope Valley College Holiday Tournament.

Terri Todecheene led the MSJC offense with 20 points, while Danielle Cooper had 15 points and 13 rebounds in the Lady Eagles loss.  Jasmine Jones added 13 points.  MSJC bounced back the following day to defeat LA Pierce College 84-57 behind a balanced scoring attack led by Kaylee Moreno's 15 points.  Todecheene added 12 points while Jones and Danielle Reed both had 11.  Cooper had a game high 20 rebounds in the victory.  Saturday's final game of the tournament was close throughout, but MSJC fell to Moorpark 69-65.  Todecheene and Jones again led the way with 12 points a piece while Reed hit double figures with 10.

The Lady Eagles who now stand at 9-4 on the season will be back in action on December 28th when they take on Santa Barbara College in the first round of the Grossmont Classic in El Cajon.  Tip off for next Tuesday's game is set for 7 pm.
