MSJC Women Down Rio Hondo

The MSJC women's basketball team used a balanced scoring attack Wednesday night to defterrivsrio.jpgeat visiting Rio Hondo College 85-64.

Four Lady Eagles reached double figures in scoring led by Terri Todecheene's 18 points.  Danielle Cooper added 16 points and a game high 19 rebounds for MSJC while point guard Danielle Reed also had a double double with 12 points and a season high 15 assists.  Ashley Jenkins added 12 points for the Lady Eagles.

Rio Hondo kept it close in the first half with a solid shooting performance, but the Eagles led 49-40 at the half.  MSJC used a 16-1 run to open the second half to blow the game open.  The win improved the Lady Eagles record to 19-7 on the season and 9-2 in Foothill Conference play while Rio fell to 6-17 overall and 4-7 in the league.  The Lady Eagles are currently one game behind San Bernardino Valley in the race for the Foothill Conference title.

MSJC is back in action Saturday afternoon when they travel to Rancho Cucamonga to take on Chaffey College at 1 pm.  You can hear that game on the Eagle Radio Network at msjc.edu or locally on AM 1620.
